What We Treat

An estimated 20 million women and 10 million men struggle with an eating disorder in the United States. These mental illnesses have serious, life-threatening complications that are both medical and psychiatric in nature. Eating disorders can affect individuals of any age, gender, race, ethnicity and socioeconomic group. No two-people struggling with an eating disorder are the same, and our team of experts understand this. Eating disorders are complicated medical and psychological disorders that do not have a single cause. The most recent research suggests that eating disorder develop from biological, psychological and social underpinnings.

Living Hope Eating Disorder Treatment Center is the only gender inclusive center in Oklahoma and Arkansas.  Regardless of the level of care a patient needs, our team of experts can help patients on their path to lasting recovery.

TESTIMONIALS

“This place literally saved my life! Dr. Scears set me up for success with a treatment plan to meet my specific needs. She provided medical treatment I needed, a dietitian and a counselor to help me. This is the only place I found the psychological, nutrition and medical help all at one place. I highly recommend this place if you are struggling or know someone that is struggling with an eating disorder. This place genuinely turned my life around, I honestly can’t imagine where I’d be without Dr. Scears help. One bite at a time, one meal at a time, one day at a time.”

“Living hope has saved my life. I came to treatment not even wanting to get better; I was just wanting to make everyone happy. As soon as I started actually trying, I started to make progress, and the whole way I had amazing support from the other people in IOP, and from the very compassionate staff. I got very good therapy while I was there, which helped a lot! I’m so thankful for the time I spent at Living Hope because not only did they help me get in recovery from my eating disorder, but I also gained a great support system, and I was able to find out who I really am after so many years of just trying to make people happy.”

“My husband and I both believe this center helped me to save my life. I was a long-term IOP patient and was eventually sent to a higher level of care. Upon returning, I remained at Living Hope for an extensive time, but that’s the time it took for me to deal with some underlying issues. Even after I discharged to outpatient and started slipping requiring IOP to get back on track and deal with trauma issues, there was no shame, only open arms and a desire to see me well. I still see my treatment team on an outpatient basis, and am blessed to be able to do so. I am now living life full and free!”
